Thank you for partnering with Rutgers University and the BEST Institute to continue its proud tradition of providing an outstanding academic experience for our students. Through your participation, you are making our facility, the BEST Center for Entrepreneurship, better equipped to meet future challenges in the ever-changing educational and entrepreneurial environment.

One of the ways in which you can become a part of the BEST Center for Entrepreneurship is through our mentoring program. Qualified BEST Mentors are practicing entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industry experts, angel investors or service professionals who are willing to commit their time to our student teams on a consistent basis. Mentors are volunteers and must be accepted by the BEST Institute Advisory Board before working with our student teams.

Mentors should have a sincere commitment to work with students and teams, aiding them in developing their proposals into working business plans. The functions of a mentor are varied and range from answering questions, to providing industry experience and lending advice on areas such as due diligence, intellectual property and marketing. Your knowledge will serve as an invaluable resource to the students you are mentoring, giving them a unique business world perspective to compliment their academic experience.

The Rutgers BEST Institute has a plethora of opportunities available to interested participants. You can help start-up companies as an Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) or manage BEST's mid-size companies as an operations director. The BEST Speaker Series provides professional entrepreneurs with the opportunity to impart their knowledge to students of all disciplines in an open and intimate atmosphere.
